pH PAPER
FOR TESTING THE STRENGTH OF CHEMICALS DURING DESCALING AND AFTER NEUTRALISING
Method of use:
Dip a piece of pH indicator paper into the liquid to be tested for a few seconds.
Remove the strip from the test solution and compare the resultant colour with the colour card on the dispenser by holding the test strip adjacent to the dispenser.
For reference:
pH less than 2 = strongly acidic (the pH of Pepsi-Cola or Ribena is 2.6!)
Distilled water has a pH of 7 (tap water varies between ca. 6.8 and 7.2 and is generally slightly alkaline in hard water areas)
pH greater than 12 = strongly alkaline
Before discharging descaling solution to waste, ensure that pH value is at least 5, using NEUTRALISING CRYSTALS to increase the pH value if necessary.
Packaging:
• 5 metre roll
